Surveys are being done regarding the loss of employers' good talent. One survey, which was done regarding Social Media, clearly showed the numbers were high on those currently employeed, who are using Social Media to seek other employment opportunities.
The fact is over the past 3-4 years most employers have NOT been providing any training or coaching to those high potential employees, who want to grow in a company/organization. In addition, most salaries have been kept frozen or offered little increases, though that is actually secondary as a concern to employees.
Obviously, any employee would value earning more, but they place a higher value on training and development -- they want to see their employers investing in them. Employers are beginning to think about their future leadership, which could be why they are now beginning to be concerned that their best employees may be looking for other opportunities, and rightly so.
The statistics are showing that a large portion of these talented employees are actively seeking other jobs. If employers don't begin investing in these people soon, they WILL be leaving. As you have surely heard on the news, more jobs are beginning to open up. We at Compass Career can help. Let me hear your comments.
