EMPLOYEES ARE IMPORTANT!

For too long employers have had to focus on "just keeping alive", and yet employers need to give more immediate attention to those talented employees with the potential of enabling a company and organization to be more successful and productive.

Some tend to refer to employees as "human capital", though I personally do not care for that term. People are human, and the word capital tends to give others an inanimate image. Most employees are very hard working and conscientious. Most take pride in their work.

There are many gifted and intelligent employees in our workforces, but so many are like "diamonds in the rough". Without support and encouragement, such employees may remain the same, not meeting their full potential.

It is very hard for many employers to grasp the true value of "investing" in their employees with training and coaching. Some employers fear that if they train their employees that they will leave and go elsewhere. However, if an employer provides NO training and coaching, how is the employee to grow and develop into his/her full potential?

It may seem like a risk to train your good employees, but NOT to train them will leave them less skilled and possibly discouraged enough to leave for another employer, who cares enough to train them.

An employee truly IS an asset to the employer. Employees CAN make a difference in the future of their companies. Once a trained employee is developed to his/her full potential, the impact on the company can directly and positively impact the bottom line. Make the most of your team!!!
